On September’ 17, 1998, I was born and breathed air for the first time. And yet 22 years later, never have I ever celebrated a birthday of mine, not even once. You might think, it’s pretty sad, isn’t it? Well believe it or not, that’s just the life of me. In the span of these 22 years, nothing has ever mattered forever to me. And at the end of the day, I always ended up in my bed feeling like super tired and overexposed, super messed up … thinking that I’ve done nothing for my life.
In just a few hours, today will be yesterday, and tomorrow will be today. So when you think about it, today’s just another mark on a calendar, and nothing else. But I do wish that love and friendship one day wouldn’t be just a dream for me … but then again, life has educated me that it’s never too late to learn to let go of things that weren’t meant for me.
And oh, before we continue, go ahead and play this music video while you’re reading the rest of this blog post … Just- just play it because it’s my mood right now. Mood, baby, feel it..,..
So ... we meet again! 🍵
Henlo there, good and beautiful people, welcome back to my home on the internet! I know that I just posted a blog post earlier today, but I really want to share with you guys real quick, that today is my birthday! I feel like I’m pretty much lonely tonight, so I guess any birthday wishes from you guys can lit up my tomorrow. 😘
No matter how much birthday wishes y’all threw at me, I want to let you know that you guys are awesome. I’m happy that at least I have people watching over me from the other side of this monitor. Life is not always gray and black, tasteless. So for each and every one of you who spend your 60 seconds wishing me happy birthday in the comment section or on my Twitter, let me just say earlier on: thank you for all of your wishes, and every one of it shall brighten up my life!
But anyhow, my birthday is not the main topic that we are going to discuss. What we’re going to dive into, the main subject in this blog post, is all about The Mystery Blogger Award!
■ I’m so happy uwuuu!
Early this week, I was nominated for what’s called “The Mystery Blogger Award” sent by the Moonchild herself, Elle aka. Chizurue. Obviously I’m going to accept this nomination gratefully, but together with that move, I would also thank Elle for thinking of me while she’s accepting this nomination herself previously.
So here we’re having it. And to answer this award, apparently there are guidelines that we should learn before all else.
- Put the award logo or image on your blog;
- List the rules;
- Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog;
- Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well.
/ Okay um, her name is Okoto Oke Enigma, and this is her link;
- Tell your readers 3 things about yourself;
- Answer 5 questions from the person who give you the awards;
- You have to nominate 10-20 people;
- Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog;
- Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice, with one weird or funny question (specify);
- Share a link to your best post(s).
Alright, let’s do this!
▬ Tell your readers three things about yourself.
I don’t know what else that I should add here, since I’ve already put every aspect of me in my about page. But give me time, let me think about it for a while. *Insert epic thinking montage together with Death Note soundtrack.* Oookay, I think I have three things about myself that I could write here. Feel free to glance over all these though. Spoiler: nothing awesome about these three things!
▭ My situation with blog awards.
For you who is newly being a friend of mine ✨ probably I should tell you that this is not the first time I’m receiving a blog award. Instead, about three years ago was the first time I received a blog award, and it was fun responding to these kinds of things.
Unfortunately, I stopped answering these awesome and different kinds of blog awards, mostly because I thought my anime blog at the time doesn’t suit well enough to be answering these kinds of things. Don’t get me wrong though, I always very much appreciate all of it, and I often show my gratitude on the comment section of the person’s who gave me the reward, but also at the same time saying sorry because I won’t be answering to their nomination.
But now my main canvas in this WordPress community is a personal blog, and that means I can do anything with it, random things including answering to your random questions about anything, literally anything. So, despite the many nominations I’ve gotten I have repeatedly just asked all the friends and awesome bloggers out there for patience, from now on I’ll try to start answering to anyone who tags me for something, or anything.
▭ 90% of the case, I read your blog posts in the bathroom.
The second thing that I shall tell you … is this.
Yes, that’s exactly right. I just want to make you feel weird, for whenever you see me liked or commented on your blog posts, there’s a huge chance that I read your writings in a toilet, while I’m minding my own business. LOL. Anyways, I don’t know why you want to know about this, and I don’t know why I put it here, but this is how I simply roll.
Oftentimes it’s when I chill on the toilet for no reason in one morning, and other times it’s when I poop and pee. LMAO. But in all seriousness, I like to read stuff online, and whenever I read your writings and blog posts, it oftentimes motivates me to write more and to share more. It also made me feel a little bit effective with my time, if you know what I mean; whenever I’m starting to see my phone a little dewy, that means the water heated up and I’m ready to take a bath.
▭ I squat when I poop.
I don’t know what else to write, because I’m not that interesting, even from whenever angle you’re trying to see me. I like Marvel movies and TV shows, but many people do. I like watching memes, but then again, many people do. I’m not that great with alcohol, but then again, many people aren’t —and it’s not something to be proud of either.
And with the writings that I’ve been posting the past week, I wonder if there’s someone out there that thinks of me as a productive guru or a life coach. Haha, it seems so funny to think about it now.
▬ Someone’s interested in meee..,.. 😱
One would say, the fun part of this tagging party is that we are allowed to ask anything to everyone that we nominate, and finally we can discover their true, deepest secret. But before I question my own nominees, for now I have to become the nominee myself, and so I have to stay on the less fun side of this scenario.
Anyhow, here are the five questions that Elle’s asked me to answer.
▭ What’s the most useless talent you have?
Sleep all day, and I can sleep more after that.
BEHOLD- MY ONE AND ONLY TALENT!
▭ What series would you turn into a novel to lure the bookworms in?
That would be an American teen drama written and produced by Sam Levinson, called Euphoria. The show follows a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media. The series also produced in partnership with A24, which is a studio of which known for its amazing ways to lure the viewers in, with haunting visual and eccentric figurative language … if you know what I mean.
It’s R rated for nudity, drug use, body shaming, blackmailing, daddy issues, and something-something else on the line with all the above. I like to watch the first half of the series, because I feel like there’s pretty much where my everyday mood lies. Unfortunately, I cannot relate more to the second half of the show —because at the core, Euphoria is just a typical American show, so there must be a lot of sub-plots with a lot of characters involved, which then become too much for my taste.
Anyhow, I would like for it to be adapted into a novel. I’d like to read more about the monologue between all the characters with themselves, especially the two main characters, most probably because I always wondering how love actually works, or human in general.
“He made a long mental checklist of the things he liked and disliked about women. He liked tennis skirts and jean cut-offs, but not the kind so short you could see the pockets. He liked ballet flats and heels. He hated sneakers and dress shoes. He was fine with sandals, as long as they were worn with a fresh pedicure. He liked thigh gaps, hated cankles. He liked tan lines, long necks, slender shoulders. He liked good posture and fruit-scented body mist. He liked full hips, and small noses. He liked chokers, but the lacy ones with flower cutouts or delicate patterns. He hated girls who sat like boys, talked like boys, acted like boys. But there was nothing on planet Earth he hated more than body hair.”
— Zendaya, as Rue Bennett from Euphoria.
▭ What series can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?
This time is an anime, called Kimagure Orange☆Road.
The show was an influential series. It is credited alongside Dragon Ball for introducing an entire generation of Europeans to anime and manga. It was also an archetypal shounen romantic comedy, a genre that had a major influence on; and there’s also a character in it that is considered to be a root of the tsundere archetype. Sadly, it’s quite an old TV show, aired the first time in the year of 1987. But fortunately, you can buy its latest Blu-ray which just released in 2019, or you can stream it on Netflix. 😉
Here’s the synopsis for whoever wondering what the show is about.
Fifteen-year-old Kyousuke Kasuga moves to a new city and falls for Madoka Ayukawa. She’s friendly when they’re alone, but acts like a delinquent when in front of others. Kyousuke meanwhile struggles not to break the heart of Hikaru Hiyama, who fell in love after seeing him make an impossible basketball shot. To add the cherry to this particular sundae, Kyousuke and his family have various superpowers!
Anyways, Capricious Orange Road has been my go-to every time I’m in need of a show to be playing in the back of my head —that’s whenever I’m trying to get something done, or simply when I feel like my room is too quiet for that day’s mood. It’s 48 episodes … so in a way, I never get bored watching the show over and over again; and in another, I always able to focus on my work or my study even though the show is playing on the other monitor, because well, I already watched it.
▭ What mythical creature do you wish actually existed? So it can be your pet, a spirit animal, or you in your next life.
A succubus. Which if you don’t know what, they are a demon entity that according to Wikipedia, only exists as folklore. Of course, I want one to be my pet. In many anime (and hentai too), succubus are often depicted as a beautiful seductress or enchantress, rather than as frightening and demonic as how old folklore depicts it 😍 and being cute is how I want my succubus to be.
According to all that I’ve watched and read, repeated sexual activity with a succubus can cause poor physical or mental health, to even death. Well first of all, I already poor on physical and mental health; and when it comes to dying, I think breathed the last time in a gorgeous succubus’ arms is a good way to die. In my opinion, anyway. LOL.
▭ What made you follow this blog Of Midnight Ravings?
Supposedly I’m already following your blog for more than three years now. So how do I say this … I already forget what made us know each other. But please don’t get offended by this though, I don’t even remember what I eat for breakfast. 😟
▬ Nominate 10-20 bloggers.
20?! 🤢 Aaaah! *Panic!* I don’t think I have that many online friends that would accept an award thrown by me..!!! But oh well, let us just hope for the best. Here is the ten of you who I hope would accept my nomination … (I’m sorry).
- Soulcial Dreamin’ Entertainment
First, I shall nominate the fabulous duo, Lizzo and Drey, to accept this award. We don’t talk much, and I feel like you gals know me way better than I know you both. What I know is that we three love cats and anime, and we all nerd on the inside. Haha.
- alfredopasta from omunibasu
My old frieeend- we’re friends, right? 😂 I’m not even sure anymore since we only talk like, twice a year now? But you’re a cool guy, and I always hope we talked more. You’ve been my brother in arms, and we’ve actually been through so many things together.
- The author of The Kimochi Warui Diary, Chad Davis himself
An anime-inspired author, and at the same time an anime self-help guru. He also helps generate leads for small businesses in the retail and service industries. In short, he’s just an all-round awesome person!
- The fabulous, Average Joe
In his blog, he shares his opinions in the form of reviews and discussions about anything nerd culture; be it pop culture, anime, movies, video games, and much more.
Amazing gal, real awesome writer at MiddleMe.
- Alicia from Miss Honeybug’s Reads
Grandma, I love you. ❤
- Jack Scheibelein
Amazing blogger at the Animated Observations and Solidly Liquid. I hope this nomination won’t come off as trouble or inconvenience.
- Scott from the Mechanical Anime Reviews
Apparently he’s a fabulous anime blogger who has been a fan of the fandom since the year 2000. I guess mecha is one of his main favorite genres, but he also likes the Fate and Jojo series as well. Bet you’ve received so many awards now, but here’s one to add to your collection! 🤗
She runs a blog called The Spooky Red Head, where she talks about new anime, manga, films, TV series, books, and some other related pop-culture thingies. She also loves to review those unique little products that she buys online.
- Stuart Danker
Guess I’ve been nominating random people from my following list. But anywho, I and Stuart haven’t talked much, but he’s been following me, and I’ve been reading a few of his quality content … and I thought, Stuart, you deserve an award! 😀
And there’s that for the 10 amazing, fabulous writer that I’m nominating this Mystery Blogger Award to. I hope this won’t come out as a bother. It’s kinda weird now considering that I’ve always felt awkward whenever I couldn’t answer to this kind of nominations back in the day, I used to say thank you and sorry at the same time. I hope you guys are happy to be nominated by me.
Also, I’m sorry if you have been tagged with the same award and you’ve done this before. If you don’t want to answer to this nomination, it’s also okay. I don’t want to be pushy, if you know what I mean.
But other than that, I also want to give whoever reading this, an opportunity to answer to this nomination as well. This means, if you have a desire to answer my following questions, or you’ve been stuck on what you should write in your blog recently, go ahead and consider yourself nominated by me! Yes, the awesome YOU! 🤓 I dare you to accept this award!
▬ Nesha’s questions for you beautiful people.
It says to ask my nominees with 5 questions of my choice, together with one weird or funny one.
So, here I shall list my five questions for you guys to answer. I hope I’m not digging too personal with these questions. But if it’s actually the case, then feel free to ignore them, and answer the others. The same thing if my questions are too deep for your taste, then feel free to not overthink it and move on with the other ones. Even if you just answered one question, I’m already so happy and grateful.
▭ Here you go: …
- What is that ONE desire or enthusiasm, the passion of yours that drives your soul?
- What makes you grateful, optimists, and concerned about this passion of yours?
- What does success look like in your head?
- What do you enjoy about writing?
- Do you like cats? What about catgirls? (This is the funny one )
▬ Share a link to your best post(s).
Okay so, supposedly I have to share a link to one of my best posts. But unfortunately, I haven’t posted enough writings in this blog yet, so I don’t think I have the best post yet since each one of it is having the relatively same amount of engagement. But in case you want to read one, you can just go to my front page and pick one that interests you. So far, you basically can see all my posts from there.
Also, if you haven’t realized yet, I’m pretty new with having a personal blog, so any tips would be appreciated. Currently, I’m only writing about what pops into my head, as well as writing about things that I found literally when I procrastinate online. In addition to that, I’m new with reading manga too … so if you have a recommendation, feel free to write to me through the comment section below the like button.
One day, I would like to share my greatest creation as proud as this guy showing his moves!
